Twenty-six-year-old singer-songwriter and record producer Danny Ocean was born Daniel Morales in Caracas, Venezuela on May 5th, 1992. He began his career in music around 2009 and produced several EPs before relocating to Miami in 2015 to escape the socio-political landscape of Venezuela. In 2016, feeling lonely and displaced, Morales wrote his now-hit song, “Me Rehúso,” thinking of his girlfriend back home in Venezuela. Once he posted the song on his YouTube channel, the song became a viral hit, being streamed millions of times online and even going so far as to demand a relaunch and an English version titled, “Baby I Won’t.”
“Me Rehúso” spent 26 weeks on the Billboard Hot Latin songs chart, where it reached #13 on August 19th, 2017. Morales has since signed into a partnership with Warner Music Latina, who handles his Spanish-sung recordings, and Atlantic Records, who handles his English-sung material. Since then, the singer has performed in venues across Europe and in South America. Remarkably so, MegaRumba has the privilege of being his first concert in the U.S., making this event an amazing milestone in his young and promising career.
